ΤΑ ΝΕΑ ΤΟΥ ΣΙΤΕΣΑΠ ΟΚΤΩΒΡΙΟΥ 2023
NEWS FOR OCTOBER 2023
QUESTIONNAIRE – 2/10
In the interest of recording information regarding companies, vessels and areas where our members operate, the Board sent out a short questionnaire. In addition to the aforementioned subjects, there were also questions about the expectations of the members from the association and a description of the issues that are priority concerns for them. The questionnaire can be answered online and does not require more than five minutes to complete. Unfortunately, yet again there was very little feedback from the members. The lack of data and participation weakens our negotiating strength. We would once again like to ask you to take the time to complete it.
MEETING WITH TAIPED – 5/10
A delegation of the Union met with the Managing Director of TAIPED Mr. Dimitrios Politis and other officials. The main subject of the discussion was the maintenance of the berths for our vessels in the respective ports (Volos, Thessaloniki, Lavrio, etc.) and the control of berthing fees in those ports and marinas. On the positive side of the discussion was that the Tourist Character of the Port of Lavrio will be preserved and that the placement of the floating pontoons in it will proceed. Mr. Politis attributed the delay in the implementation of various projects (eg the waterways of Lavrio) to bureaucracy. We await more information about the future of the port of Skiathos.
Olympic Yacht Show – 5/10
After accepting an invitation, representatives of the Board attended the opening ceremony of the yacht show at Olympic Marine in Lavrio. Several chartering and equipment supplying companies participated. The owner of Olympic Marine, Mr. Prokopiou, informed us that a crew and technical boat school will soon be operating in the marina area.
