4-8/11 Athens International Boat Show
The 2024 Athens International Boat Show took place at the Metropolitan Expo. SITESAP was present at Hall 1, in a complimentary space offered to us. Our secretary, Ms. Myrsini Pakiou,welcomed friends and members of SITESAP.
11/11 European Research Program: "Challenges in Ensuring Maritime Safety"

The Board decided to involve SITESAP in the proposal to participate in the aforementioned research program. The program includes organizations and companies from 7 different EU countries. Greece will be represented by the Hellenic Coast Guard, S.I.T.E.S.A.P., Greece Yachts Charter, and the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy. The aim of the project is to develop a model for maritime safety, navigation, and the safeguarding of maritime borders for EU member states, by transmitting real-time information from passing vessels to the respective operation centers in these areas. The project will be carried out over a three-year period, starting now.
26/11 - Participation in a meeting of the HCoS
A meeting was held at the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping between the Presidency and Board members of the HCoS and representatives of the Yachting Associations (SITESAP – EPEST – PENETIS – HCPY). SITESAP was represented by Efthymios Bibis, President, Marinos Krestas, 2nd Vice President, Dimitrios Delikaris, General Secretary, and Laurence Kambanos, Treasurer.
During the meeting, the issues faced by the associations were discussed. It was decided to have joint action with HCoS on all issues, primarily to include yacht charters under the low VAT rate, as well as the modification of the Presidential Decree concerning the equipment of pharmacies on professional tourist vessels.
11/12 Meeting with the General Secretary of MMAIS (YNANP)
A meeting took place at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy with the General Secretary of Shipping and Ports, Mr. Evangelos Kyriacopoulos, and officials from DINETHAT, DLA, and the Ship Inspection Branch. From SITESAP, the following participated: Efthymios Bibis – President, Konstantinos Chiotis – 1st Vice President, Dimitrios Delikaris – General Secretary, Eleni Vryoni – fficer of Public Relations.
Issues regarding the equipment of pharmacies, the insurance coverage of our workers in the transportation of vessels not under charter, the possibility of insuring captains and auxiliary personnel with work stamps, the completion stage of the e-register and e-charter applications, etc. were discussed. The status of the sector with predictions for the new tourist season were also presented.
It was decided to arrange a meeting with DINEFTHAT and EFKA for insurance matters and also a meeting with the Director of KEP for the pharmacy issue.
