13/2 – Meeting with Alimos Marina Director Mr. Vlachos
Board members Efthimis Bibis, Dimitris Delikaris, Kostas Chiotis and Marinos Krestas met with the Director of Alimos Marina Mr. Vlachos and discussed the progress of the work at the Marina.
An effort is being made to have piers 9, 8 & 7 ready before the start of the tourist season.
Maintenance / improvement work will also be carried out on all floating piers.
Among other things, the need to create space for customers to sit between piers 4 & 1, the treatment of mud between pier 1 and the jetty and the existence of an electric vehicle to transport tourists and suitcases from the structure to the remote piers were discussed.
18/2 – Meeting with Hellenic Chamber of Shipping
A meeting was held at NEE with the participation of the New President Mr. George Alexandratos, two Vice Presidents, the representative of tourist boats Mr. Politis, the Director of the Maritime Labor Directorate of the Ministry of National Defense, the harbormaster and the deputy harbormaster of Saronic Gulf as well as representatives of E.P.E.S.T., P.E.N.E.T.I.S., P.S.E.P.E. & E. E. T. S.I.T.E.S.A.P. was represented by Efthimis Bibis, Dimitris Delikaris andMarinos Krestas. Reference was made to all current issues of the sector. The problem that has arisen with the purchase of sparklers for boats was particularly discussed. On this issue, the Panhellenic Association of Ship Suppliers and Exporters sent a relevant memorandum. The issue of the remuneration of skippers and other auxiliary personnel for vessels with a work stamp was also raised with the Director of DNEP, as well as the issues of manning that exist during the refits and trial voyages of our vessels, to the Port Master of Saronic Gulf.
At the same time, the NEE informed that with the aim of practical support and assistance in finding a job, it created and integrated the platform neejobs.com/ on the website nee.gr FREE for everyone.
18/2 – Collaboration with Sustainable Sailing Greece
The Board of Directors at its meeting on 18/2/24, in the context of our awareness of environmental protection, decided to collaborate with Sunstainable Sailing Greece and suggests that members provide their clients with the guides available on the website https://www.sustainablesailinggreece.com/.
18/2 – Annual General Meeting S.I.T.E.S.A.P.
The Board of Directors decided to hold the Annual General Meeting initially on Sunday, March 02, 2025. If the required quorum of ½ of the paid-up members is not present then, and if the required quorum of ¼ of the paid-up members is not present on the following Sunday, March 09,2025, the meeting will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at the KAROLOS KOUN Hall (theater stage), Ypsilantou 31 & Thisiou, Alimos.
20-21/2 – Panhellenic Yachting Conference
The 4th Panhellenic Yachting Conference in Glyfada was successfully completed. The conference was also held under the auspices of S.I.T.E.S.A.P. During the conference, the issues of concern to the sector (Institutional and infrastructure) were mentioned. Interesting discussions also took place regarding:
- The design of new boats, sustainability and green technology
- Crew training
- The application of artificial intelligence in yachting
- Human behavior and safety
- Financial tools
- Marketing and new trends in communication
- The development of sailing clubs – incubators for yachting workers
- The progress of the market for sailing, catamarans and motor yachts
20/2 – Meeting with Deputy Minister of Local Government Mr. Vasilis Spanakis
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Interior with the Deputy Minister responsible for Local Government issues Mr. Vasilis Spanakis. On behalf of S.I.T.E.S.A.P., Efthimis Bibis, Dimitris Delikaris and Kostas Chiotis attended. The main topic of the meeting was the imposition of Municipal Fees on pleasure boat rental businesses.
25/2 – Meeting with Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms. Rapti
Board members Efthimis Bibis, Dimitris Delikaris and Eleni Vryoni met with Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms. Elena Rapti. The issues raised with the Deputy Minister were the need to create marinas for professional boats in Attica, the lack of wintering areas for boats, the uncontrolled increases in mooring fees, as well as the support of the Ministry of Tourism in our request for boat charters to be subject to the low VAT rate.
26/2 – Panhellenic Crew Union Cake Cutting
Kostas Chiotis and Marinos Krestas attended the Panhellenic Crew Union Cake Cutting event.
