Meeting with the Minister of Shipping & Island Policy -15/11
The Board of Directors of the union met with the Minister of Shipping Mr. Christos Stylianidis and discussed with him all the issues concerning the sector matters concerning the sector such as:
- VAT on charters
- Placement of floating piers in Lavrio and in general for the siting of new marinas.
- Problems with e-registry.
- Amendment of the P.D. for pharmacies.
- Digitization and reduction of bureaucracy in the issuance of shipping documents
- Arbitrary charges for docking and other benefits.
A relevant memorandum will be sent to the minister on the discussed issues.
Meeting with Deputy Minister of Finance-24/11
Following a joint request with the Hellenic Professional Yacht Owners Association (EPEST) we met with the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance responsible for VAT issues Mr. Haris Theoharis. The main topic of discussion was the VAT rate. in charters. There will be announcements in the Spring.
Meeting for 12/13/23 at 18:30 for members active in Corfu
The Board of Directors following the cycle of meetings that began with groups of members active in various regions in Greece (the first meeting was held on 24/10/23 with the members of Lefkada) he invited to a meeting for 13/12/23 at 18:30 members active in Corfu.
Meeting with the new Harbor Master of Saronikos-17/11
Representation of the Board of Directors met with the new master of Saronikos Port Police Commander. Mrs. Anna Sarli.
Among the topics discussed was the summer manning of the outpost in Marina Alimos. They also discussed issues of yacht transfers, private use, trial cruises, idleness etc.
Letter for vessels Port of Lefkada -16/11
A letter was sent to the Municipality, the Municipal Port Fund & the Port Authority of Lefkada as well as the Ministry of Shipping
