VAT Charters

Following the previous contacts with the Ministry of Finance, it was decided to carry out a viability study of the sector which the government will include in its arguments to the European Commission in order to subject the charters to the low rate of VAT. Such a study has a high cost and we are looking for the body that will carry it out, the bodies that will participate and financial resources. In the context of VAT information, there were meetings with the Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms. Sofia Zaharakis and the Secretary of Planning of the ND. Mr. Haris Theoharis.

Appointed union representative to EBI

Mr. Bibis, the president, was appointed as the representative of the union in EBI. In communication with the General Secretary of the EBI, the close cooperation of the two bodies and the assistance of the EBI in the matter of VAT was agreed upon, the position of which is the uniform application of a legal framework for charters throughout Europe and the application of the low VAT rate in all countries.

Minute report regarding the movements of the caravans in Marina Alimos

They were forwarded through the lawyer Ms. Dafni Batsaras, who had handled the subpoena filed by CITESAP on 19/11/2020 regarding the movements of the caravans in Marina Alimos, to the Magistrate of the 6th Pre-Investigation Department additional information which she requested, for the damages suffered by our members.

Conference: the Present and the Future of Marine Tourism

It was decided to organize an open day on the subject: the Present and the Future of Marine Tourism with invited representatives of the major parties on 6/13/23. The aim is to raise all the current issues of the sector and to make commitments on how to solve them. A detailed update will follow.

SITESAP website εκτός λειτουργίας

The SITESAP website has not been working for a month now. The initial problem was with the server that hosts it, where all the websites it hosted were down, and our website has also been hacked. Efforts are being made to bring the page back up and we are also considering taking legal action against the provider. The goal is to upgrade the website.

Ship pharmacy 

The legislative initiative of YNANP to amend the relevant provision concerning the equipment of the pharmacy of our ships was rejected by the legislative committee of the Parliament. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until after the elections for a relevant amendment to be made to the existing Presidential Decree.
